What is it? Teams compete to see how far they can pull a truck while close to 1,000 of their closest family and friends cheer them on. This year the truck is sponsored by Perron Trucking. Teams are divided to 3 classes by weight. There are 3 divisions determined by total weight of team: 650lbs., 1,100lbs, or unlimited weight (up to 8 people). Men, Women, or Co-ed teams are encouraged. Teams will pull different size(or weight on) trucks so all divisions will be able to pull. So sign up for one, two, or all three weight classes. Each team is guaranteed two pulls. It’s not how strong you are but how bad you want it. Creative costumes are encouraged and a Spirit Award will be given to the most energetic/creative team.

Where is it? At the Fireman’s Park On North Barton Street, Campbellsport Wisconsin. It’s at the far West end of Main Street.

Who can do it? Anyone over the age of 16 (minors must have signed consent from legal guardian.) It’s not how big you are, it’s how bad do you want it! Pull to win, or just pull to say you did it.

Is it really the world’s largest? No one has ever proven it wrong. Until we hear otherwise. Yes.

What can I win? Each division winner will be awarded $200 in chamber bucks and a large trophy. 2nd place in each division will receive $75 in chamber bucks. The Spirit Award winner will receive $50 in chamber bucks.

How much is it? There is a $75.00 entry fee. Business entries will have their logos on back of all T-shirts if business team signs up by June 24th. Local organizations, sports teams, families, friends, and businesses are encouraged to have a team. It’s great exposure!

When is it? The 2009 Truck Pull V will be held July 4th at Fireman’s Park in Campbellsport, Wisconsin after the 12:00 parade (approx 1:30pm).

Kevin Michels, co-owner and vice president of Michels Corporation, presents a $5,000 check to Joel Fleischman, chairman of the “No Name Playground” project. Michels Corporation is a community leader in Campbellsport and many surrounding communities. They are locally owned and operated in Brownsville, Wisconsin. “We have always appreciated the support Michels gives to communities like ours; their support is a beacon of hope in these economic times,” says Joel Fleischman.

The carpenter apprenticeship class at Fond du Lac Moraine Park is currently compiling the final design. The new park facilities and playground project will commence this Spring at the Campbellsport Fireman’s Park. Many local organizations, including the Campbellsport Area Chamber of Commerce and the volunteer Campbellsport Fire Department, are helping with funding for the playground. For more information about the project or to make a donation please visit www.gocampbellsport.com or e-mail Joel Fleischman at joel.fleischman@furnishanddesign.com.
